Laurie O’Neill (Willowmoon Art) is a multimedia digital artist based in Northern California. A self-taught graphic designer, she has been creating cartoon-style children’s designs for her online business, Mandy’s Moon Personalized Gifts, since 1999. In 2018 she was introduced to Virtual Reality for the first time, From the moment she first put on a VR headset and began drawing sparkling trails in infinite 3D space in TiltBrush, her mind began spinning with the creative possibilities of this new medium, and she knew that creating in Virtual Reality MUST be part of her future. As a child she spent hours drawing aliens, mystical creatures, and imaginary places; now she can bring all these things to life in VR. Her Chinese Dragon received a Director’s Choice Award in the “Virtually Tilted” art show in 2019, and she had two pieces featured in the 2019 VR Burn festival.
