Submissions for the first edition of The Arsonist Magazine are now closed.

Submissions shall remain open for one month, from 14th January 2017 until 14th February 2017.

We are looking for poetry, short stories, flash fiction, prose poems, art, collage, painting, photography – as well as non-fiction submissions: essays, reviews, commentary, thought-pieces, features, interviews, etc.

Please read and follow the submissions guidelines before submitting your work. This is not because we are pedantic/anal folk, but rather that we are a small team and your following the guidelines will aid us immensely in processing your submissions speedily and efficiently. Many thanks.

Submission Guidelines

WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED WORK FOR THE ARSONIST MAGAZINE.

Poetry and Fiction

For poetry submissions, submit no less than three and no more than five of your best poems. Short stories should be limited to 1,500 words max (preferably shorter). We encourage flash fiction submissions. Send your submissions in preferably as a .doc – or if you have to a .docx file – along with a short bio to infoburninghousepress@gmail.com.

Please clearly state “Poetry/Fiction Submission For The Arsonist Magazine” in the subject of the email.

Art
Submit up to five hi-res images of your works (drawings, paintings, illustrations, collages, photography, etc) with descriptions of the work (Title, Year, Medium, etc) in the body of the email. Files should be in .JPEG and should not exceed 2MB in size for each work. File names should correspond with the work titles. Send these submissions along with a short bio to infoburninghousepress@gmail.com.

You may also send us links to your websites or art portfolio to be considered for a feature/interview.

Please clearly state “Art Submission For The Arsonist Magazine” in the subject of the email.

Non-fiction
Non-fiction submissions (essays, reviews, commentary, interviews, etc) should be no more than 1, 500 words and sent as a .doc or .docx file along with your bio to infoburninghousepress@gmail.com. You may also forward non-fiction proposals that you would like us to consider. 

Please clearly state “Non-Fiction Submission For The Arsonist Magazine” in the subject of the email.

All contributors shall be provided with a copy of The Arsonist Magazine, as payment for your inclusion.

Submissions we like but that unfortunately don’t make the cut for The Arsonist Magazine (due to limited space) will be offered publication on-line on the Burning House Press website.
