Astra Bloom writes poetry, fiction and memoir. She came second in the Brighton short story prize and she won both the Sussex story and the Sussex flash fiction prize. She is a winner of the Bare Fiction poetry competition and she’s been shortlisted in many competitions including Bridport. Astra’s had novels longlisted by Mslexia and she has work forthcoming in Kit De Waal’s Common People anthology of working class writing, and in the A Wild and Precious life anthology of writing about recovery from illness, trauma and addiction.
