Part Time Wolf Wife Who Bites Children
by Xopher Besinger
Bandits return and the past becomes uncomfortable
but it’s home, it is where everything we know is
verité maxes flowers from stolen plants
transfixing some of the lesser bridges
draped in unnecessary flesh
Ain’t no darkness quite so dark as the sunlight of ransom capitalism
eyes like searchlights nosing around every corner
for a part time wolf wife who bites children
who inspects and weighs for maximum profit
who listens so fast, so fast to the kids
Pouring from their teeth
