… sunny-side-up quail eggs on tiny slices of rock-hard baguette…

War of the Worlds (2005)
Misplaced colours—violent violet light beams, ruby fleshy weeds—disrupted horizons—one, two,

magnetism of Tom Cruise slapping—bread on bare countertop, peanut butter globs on bread,
sandwich on window.

Real Love
After we fight you make up by cooking me sunny-side-up quail eggs on tiny slices of rock-hard
baguette. The yolk dribbles out of my mouth and down my chin. I feel a shard of shell nick the
lining of my throat. Still, I swallow.
