The pelvis and torso of a seated man in white space rendered in exquisite sinewy detail, ink stippling and washes of psychedelic colours, raw blast holes in his pectoral muscles. His face is turned away with a somber expression.

A standing man captured from the pelvis up holds his face, eyes closed, in his hands. Mad muscular striations in psychedelic marker colours comprise his body. A fuschia liquid reminiscent of blood flows over his jaw, is splattered on his hands and forearms and trickles down his chest. Pale marks on his upper thighs suggest scratches or scars.

In the foreground, an arm and hand, open palm facing upwards, lies in a field of lilies and stretches toward the horizon. All rendered in muted, hysterical colours suggesting an iridescence. Beyond a section of splintering deadwood bisecting the composition, a section of trunk gnawed away, lies a woman, her profile facing the sky, her skin a bright magenta to violet.

A man stands in a 3/4 stance, one hand stretched toward the edge of the page. His face appears to be deformed by growths and has the appearance of stone. His body's flesh is rendered in craggy, squiggly, breathtaking detail with strange, colourful wormlike growths beginning from the neck seem to curl and melt over the skin or appear rigid, like metal shavings or drip like stalactites. Over the legs, they appear to be bright green, like moss, but upon closer inspection, they look more like clusters of little vertebrae-like clamps. His member, the only smooth aspect of his body, stands at half mast.

Black and white illustration rendered in immense, painstaking detail of a strange robed figure holding some kind of arcane tool. The draping cloth appears almost like wrinkled skin over a desiccated body, fingernails curl and hook into thin cords wrapped about the torso, chain links hang from the cloth below.

Jacob Wiebe is a filmmaker, artist & writer. His films have played at Fantastic Fest, National Canadian Film Day, the Soho International Film Festival, and platformed on Film Shortage. His painting and drawing work was recently given a solo exhibition at The Plumb gallery, along with a retrospective of his films.
